Why won't Kazaa work on my computer?

I have downloaded Kazaa on my computer but it won't open.
when I go into my computer it is saying that it is there, but I still can't seem to open it up
A couple of months ago I had this guy reinstall Windows XP,and also a new modem. He said that having Kazaa was why I was having problems to my comp, so he done something to stop it from opening it up, so today I thought I would download it again, but I still can't seem to open it up
Would that be the problem?

the problem IS Kazaa. You need to delete/uninstall that
asap. Get something legal and more safe (and faster).
perhaps you should try to install BearShare or LimeWire?

If its blocked then you won't be able to open it. Delete it and if you
insist on downloading "free" files, use KazaaLite - the same programme minus
all the dodgy Spyware.

Oh, and get a copy of SpyBot (free, do a Google search) and run it. Kill all
the crap it shows up.
