why wont all the web page appear?

Hi

When I visit some websites (ebay is one) not all the pictures or graphics
appear. Where there should be pictures, I get the "ACTION CANCELLED,
INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT FIND etc etc" message you would normally expect to
see when a whole site page is unavailable.

Can anyone help me?

some browsers dont support some graphic formats.one that
comes to mind is that IE6 wont show transparencies
in .png's , if you dont have a flash player installed you
wont be able to see flash anamations.
