Why usually prompts me "Windows File Protection"

In my computer, why usually prompts the "Windows File
Protection" Message box and asks me to insert the Windows
2000 Professional CD?

What does that message box mean?
Can I ignore that message box?
 
It means that something has replaced a system protected file and it needs
the 2k CD to replace that file.
