Why this error message yet I can still send and receive some email

I have seen some discussions with this but nothing has worked. I have 7
email accounts; two from one ISP and 5 from another. The two from one ISP
work just fine but the other 5 do not. I get this stupid message everytime
there is a send/receive function and yet I do receive SOME of the
emails.......maybe all of them but there is no way of telling! I can also
send some of them. I have tried 3 different outgoing relay numbers/settings
recommended by my host but I get this error message with all 3 numbers and I
receive/send SOME emails with all three numbers. I have tried removing the
password and login for incomming and outgoing access to this ISP but that
stops all emails from receiving and sending. Any ideas???? My ISP has no
idea and I cannot find Windows Mail help on Microsoft's tech website!
 
I assume the 5 email accounts you have trouble with are hosted
by GoDaddy.com. The latter is not an ISP but a web hoster who
offers email service as a sideline. I've seen lots of reports of
flakiness for GoDaddy's pop.secureserver.net mail server.

That said, make sure you are not running a non-compatible
antivirus. Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their

Thank you! How did you know it was GoDaddy? Very smart! Honestly, I did
uninstall (not just disable) McAfee as the very first action when I opened my
new notebook for the first time. I hate McAfee! I know of the problems that
arise with those programs when you are trying to install software and set up
email systems so I still have not installed my PC Cillin software. I have
been using the windows security system only to this point. What is ironic is
that I also had to install my old Outlook 2003 and the Business Contact
Manager software on this new computer so I could move all of my old business
emails from my old notebook to my new one. Outlook is working GREAT with ALL
7 email accounts and it is much faster than Windows Mail. I am thinking of
disabling the Windows Mail and using Outlook until Windows Mail is fine
tuned. I love Microsoft but I think they put this program out before working
out all of the bugs and I hate that they have a system out that they have not
posted self-help trouble shooting on their website.

Now my only challenge left is to try to figure out how to merge all of my
old Outlook files and emails into the outlook i installed on the new
notebook. I fear I may need to bring it in to a tech!

If you are comfortable with Outlook, you are better off with it
since it is much more stable than Windows Mail.

I used to do tech support for a web hosting company, and
am very familiar with how it is supposed to work.
