why the heck can't i spell check!?!

this is going to ruin me..i lost my microsoft word when i
upgraded to xp (home version), and now this: wordpad has
no spellcheck!! what's a stoopid speler like me to do?

Do a google search for free ones. There are several out there.

You say you " lost " word ? If you have the CD for Microsoft Works/Word that
you used on a former computer , it can be used on your XP. I'm using one
that I used formerly on a ME system and it works fine on XP . And it is
legal, so far as I am aware.
