Why some messages are getting deleted

Why I get the error "Message no longer available on the server" when I clikc
on the replies for some posts? Even some of my replies were deleted. I am
using Outlook Express and VPN is also run on my laptop. Does VPN cause
problems? I have not seen this problem earlier with VPN running.

Don't know.. I'm using the MSDN web interface to read the
groups and I also see deleted messages on occasion, so it
has nothing to do with your setup.

Microsoft has been experiencing some problems with the news servers for the past
few days. You may want to try selecting a different newsgroup, then this one
again - sometimes those "missing" messages will reappear. In any case, the
Microsoft guys are working on this.
 
It's a problem with the NG server. Be patient, hopefully it will be fixed
soon.

These groups are rapidly becoming unusable!
