Why so many Re:'s?

Presumably the original sender deleted the original message after it had
been replied to - or is it something else?

But why so many at the moment?

Any ideas?

Your newsreader may be deleting the earlier ones from your
drive, or your news server may be doing the same.

But why so many at the moment?

Lack of new posts as compared to followup posts within
a thread.

Any ideas?

I almost had one - but the moment is gone....
