Why does it take so long for vista to find other computer on the network?

There is only the one vista computer and one XP. Both are set to the same
workgroup.

For example, with the XP on, the Vista was started. It took over 30 minutes
before the XP and the shares showed up in Network.

That's not only unacceptable, it's wrong.

Any help or suggestions?
