Hi all,

I run WIndows XP SP2 onmy T42 Notebook.
From past sometime i am faicng a problem.
When ever i reboot my Notebook .
My outlok Pop address automatically changed to localhost and copies
pop3 address at the end of email address
E.g.
BeforeReboot
Pop: pop.abc.com
Email ID: (e-mail address removed)

After Reboot:
Pop: localhost.
Email ID: (e-mail address removed)\pop.abc.com

Thanks inadvance for help

Thanks John

Can you explain How?

I am running Trend Mocro Office Scan as my antivirus

I have never used their software, check the documentation that comes
with the software or search the Trend Micro support/help site.
Typically antivirus software will install a "pop trap" or proxy between
the email server and the mail client, that is how they intercept and
scan emails and attachements. Explained here
http://esupport.trendmicro.com/support/viewxml.do?ContentID=EN-117108&id=EN-117108
but I can't say if this applies to your particular version or how to
change that behaviour. Search the site for more information or contact
Trend Micro if the issue causes problems for your computer and email setup.

Thanks John
But can we get rid of this
As every time we reboot our system we have to change the Outlook
settings

Check with Trend Micro support or ask in one of the Outlook help groups.
I only know of one way to get rid of it and that might not be the best
solution. As a work around perhaps you can create a batch file to
restore the .prf file pop settings and have it run when the machine boots.
