I get the following values for my Performance Ratings -
Processor - 3.1
Memory - 1.8 (1 GB)
Hard Disk - 3.8
Graphics - 5.9
Gaming Graphics - 5.8

But only an overall rating of 1.0
Why?

Regards, Len

Performance Rating is rounded down to the nearest whole number of the lowest
rated component. In your case, this is your installed RAM which is rated a
1.8, and thus rounded down to 1. It is the "weakest link theory" and not a
system average.

Watch, Apple will put the same thing in Leopard, but use a different rating
scale and show the highest number. Then they can say to people "See, your
computer runs much faster with our OS" ;-)

I dont think that rounding down to the lowest component is correct, because i
have the same amount of ram as Len, and my other components dont rank as high
as his, and my total performance rating was 3...

What is your lowest rated component, Joe?

Im not at home right now so i cant check, but i would imagine it would be a
1.8 for the ram, since i have a gig just like Len... it is lower end ram too
so i cant imagine it would be rated any higher than his.

It doesn't only use the amount of RAM to rate the RAM, it also uses the
speed of the RAM.

I have "only" one gigabyte of RAM and my RAM is rated at 4.5.
