Why on the folders list, does it appear "calendar (18)"

And, calendar is in bold. And, while the number is 18 now, it grows from
time to time. If that is no big deal, it is no big deal to me. I am more
curious than interested in fixing it. However, it seems like it is telling
me something and I have no clue what it is.

Thanks.

Bob

Bold means Unread. Just like in the Inbox. Are there meeting requests that
you haven't opened?

No. I guess I do not understand. I do not share my calendar with any one.
I would have been the only one to create and appointment... so I assume that
if I created it... I opened it. I guess. This is my PC at home.

This is not really a big deal to me, yet I am still curious so I am
reposting this post. Why does my calendar on my folders list appear as a
bolded "calendar (20)". (It has increased from 18 to 20 since my first
message.)

Using the logic of messaging, I decided if a message folder is bolded with a
(1), it means there is an unread message... so I looked for any bolded
appointments, both past and future, there were none. This is a stand along
computer, so no one else can schedule a meeting for me.

I do have one possible culprit... and I am almost certain it is the culprit.
There is a way to add the schedules of my favorite teams. And, when it gets
near game day, I can go to TV listings (a function within Outlook) and it
adds a new appointment with the channel. I just did that for two games
tomorrow and perhaps that is why it is now 20, up from 18. I'd be glad to
accept the meeting... to get rid of the bolding and counter... but I could
not figure out how.

Right click the calendar, select Advanced Find and select to find unread
items. When found, mark them read.
