looking for a cure.

i have win2000pro / with 2 nics, the source nic is ics on
the other nic here is auto do your own thing

only wanting to share with one other pc call it XP
which is set to autofind ip


how in the world does XP..tunnel through the win2000 and actually
get an ip from the dsl modem?

XP is also randomly losing connection, but then comes back on...

dls modem is westell 6100...

both win2000 source adapter
and XP adapter seem to get their info from the dsl modem

crazy...
i just want the flickering XP to stop FLICKERING MY NERVES

It doesn't. If the ICS client is configured to obtain an address
automatically, it gets it from the Win2k machine:
