Try a specific registry cleanerStill good as far as I know......
AdAware has had at least 6 updates in the last 4 days. And SpywareBlaster
has a couple.
I ran Spybot today and used it to find registry entries that were out of
whack......but didn't delete many. Still cautious with the Registry.
Cheers......Heather
So is AdAware 6........and they have had multiple updates in the last 4
days......are they catching up to Spybot?? (BG)
Spybot is not for the faint of heart......because it also identifies
registry keys that are useless or 'wrong path'. I have a brother-in-law who
would crash his machine using that. AdAware is far better for the
*computer-challenged*.

confidance in AdAware.... it detects more... but not all... so does
Spybot... both combined always did a great job. These days, I also ad
a few other freeware scanners like A2 scanner & more immunizers like
Spyware Blaster. I'm also testing Bazooka that does not remove but
gives lotsa info and how to's,... more info:

for causing his free versions to stop working at year end with no warning,
so have an older one of his on here.....as well as a couple of others. But
I will admit that I like RegSupreme the best......I am just stubborn and
principled, grin.

Don't make assumptions!
I switched on a machine, searched for and downloaded updates, simple as
that. True, they might not have been recent as the machine hasn't been used
for a while but...updates I got

I REPEAT.....there have been no Spybot updates for a month or so......
Now run off and do your homework or something.

I am still using WinME (XP is sitting beside me still in the box!!). But I
am cautious with any Registry Cleaner, simply because I am not all that
familiar with the registry. But I am learning.
