Hi Frances,

It's important to note that no browser supports CSS2. CSS2 is in fact a
flawed standard which is why the W3C are working on CSS2.1 which is
currently in candidate recommendation status. Again no browser fully
supports CSS2.1 at this time. In Internet Explorer 6 we completed full
support for CSS1 and continued to improve support for CSS2. We are certainly
looking at improving our support for CSS as we move forward and in
particular address some issues with our implementation that have come to
light over the past few years as use of CSS has increased.

And yes we do read this newsgroup :-)

Thanks

True, no browser completely and correctly implements CSS 2 or 2.1: but
IE6 trails well behind browsers like Opera and Firefox. One of the big
challenges I face when making sites is finding work-arounds for IE's
failure to support CSS better.

Dave, I do appreciate your response...
well, can't wait for CSS2 to become standard on all browsers, as miss
very much the floating element positioning you can do w/CSS2.. (Netscape
does support it, however, I've used it on Netscape..) thanks again..
