Why new member not included in E-mail "To:" heading?

I add a new member to a Distribution List but when I go to send an E-mail to
the list, the newly added name doesn't get included in the distribution. I've
done with "Select" as well as "Add member" but neither works. What could the
problem be?

Version of outlook? Did you confirm the name is in the DL? Are you
selecting the DL using the To button or using autocomplete?
