Why MS Paint does not remember the directory where last picture was saved?
It is so annoying to change a save directory each time again if you are
editing many pictures that should be in other folder than derfault pictures
folder.

LOL Because it is Microsoft Paint and not Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 ?

Put a shortcut link in the default pictures folder to the folder you want to
save the pic in.

It's an oversight bug, IMHO. I think Microsoft fiddled with Paint for Vista
enhancing support for various graphic file types, but I guess they forgot
about the save. Put in a feature request or bug report?

Pony up some CASH and get a word processor. If you can't afford to
purchase a word processor, I hate to say this, but there is an alternative.
Open Office. They have a version for Windows and it does the basics you are
looking for. Simple creation of text or maybe a page or two of an actual
document. Then you can edit the preferences section to point to where your
document is........

More like because Microsoft uses inexperienced beta testers like Frank
that are so utterly stupid that couldn't find their rear end with both
hands behind their back let alone any software bugs.

Do you really think that word processor is a good replacement for MS Paint?
I have MS Office 2007 and Open Office.org too in my computer. But for
certain tasks, like where it is important exteremely quick launch of
application for quickly cutting out some details from my screenshot, I think
those office applications are not good alternatives. The only problem is,
that if I need to cut several details in a row, the MS Paint does not
remember last saved directory. Otherwise it is super app for this task. Other
picture editors, that I use, are much slower. You do not need a cannon to aim
a fly.
