Esteemed Group Participants and Lurkers:
I have a macro that resides in workbook Macros.xls and
operates when "Sheet 1" which has been exported from a
Lotus Notes data base is open (Macro.xls is opened
first). The macro creates 10 new "D" sheets, and then
copies data from the "RawData" sheet (Sheet 1) onto the
appropriate "D" sheet, comprehensively formatting cells
and Page Setup for each sheet as it goes.
This is being run under WinXP on a Laptop. When the
Laptop is NOT connected to any network, the macro executes
in about 25 seconds. When the Laptop NIC IS connected to
a cable modem or to a wireless LAN, the exact same macro
has been consistently timed at over 18 MINUTES to
complete. There is no network activity requested during
this time. What on earth could the mere presence of the
network connection have to do with the macro?
Does anyone have any ideas about what could be going on
here? Thanks in advance for any and all comments,
suggestions, or assistance.
Blessings in abundance, all the best, and ENJOY!
