Why isn't 602Suite listed on pricelessware.org?

It's an excellent office suite, free, faster than OpenOffice
(especially on slower computers). Today I was particularly impressed
by 602Photo's image-tuning feature -- excellent use of context.

One level of answer would be: Pricelessware is nominated, seconded,
discussed and voted on by the group. At some point along that process,
it failed to make the cut.

It's not listed because it didn't get enough votes.

If you're familiar with both programs why not
post a comparative review, it might encourage enough
people to try it and vote it onto the list when it comes
around to nomination & voting time again.

That answer just went into my clipboard.

Maybe because 602 doesn't have an Access-like DB,
but otherwise, darn, I'd be hard put to wonder why 602Suite isn't
pricelessware....
It's Text and Tab are comparable to Word and Excel97; it recognizes earlier
versions of not only MS's earlier versions, but also 1-2-3, and WORKS
submissions.....
I'm in a quandary.... used StarOffice5.2, too, but didn't like it taking
over my desktop; and now that 6.x is shareware, can't see it in this forum,
so the enigma within the quandary within the question lingers.....
For now, I use 602Suite, period.
(Though, there's a lot that could happen between now and October 2003)

What happens in October 2003?

October 2003 is the date for new Pricelessware nominations, from my
understanding....

I visit this group infrequently but 602 is one of the best referrals I ever
got from you folks.

It is my main replacement for MSWORKS and I use it a LOT, but it's only
aggravation is I havent figgerred out yet (in 2 years) how to print
envelopes with it. When I do, I will send publisher a payment for the
professional version

What you are looking for Joe,
is part of the 602Suiite Pro Plus option - a $29.95 add-on at link above
which kind of moves us OT, but I think answers your comment/question.
Envelope printing, even one at a time, is not an option in the freeware
version, which is (maybe) why it isn't in Pricelessware - and to my mind,
maybe for good reason. I mean, yes, I can see mass mail merge printing an
extra-pay option, but one bloody envelope for my resume or writing a
personal envelope; c'mon.
Thanks for bringing this issue up.... I do really enjoy this word processor
otherwise, and have used it often - and do recommend it....
