Why is this so hard: Will I Ever be Free of Crystal Hell?

I realize your post is just a rant and that I may just be stating the obvious, but Crystal Reports is not the only reporting tool available. The fact that it ships with VS.NET does not necessarily make it more suitable, either

Hell is not hell if one can simply open the door and walk out.
 
Well, I just came back from a meeting where we will now be able to upgrade a
Win98 system to Win2K Server and install Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.

Life can not get any worse, I've suffered since CR 3.5!
