This "hotsearch" menu that resembles the favorites menu
started popping up whenever I bring up IE6. I ran a search
and found it was created back on 8/3/03 in the SSP
registry. I'm not sure if it is from microsoft as it has a
butterfly logo but not exactly the MS logo. I ran lavasoft
but it didn't identify it as spyware but I'm still
suspicious of it as I can't find any option to stop it.
Any help would be appreciated!

Go to: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location: Spyware and Hijackware Removal Support.
