In my Win2kPro device list there is only one adapter but it is listed as No.
2. I have uninstalled this device several times and it still comes back as
no. 2.

My question is Where is the No.1 adapter? I have checked hidden resources
but it's not there. However there is a listing for 2 adapters in the
registry... What gives with this one?

Information is kept in the Registry. If you statically set the IP address and then change
it, it can cause a new Registry entry thus the new one will be appended with the "#2". Just
rename the line item.
