I am trying to add contacts to Outlook Express but I am told that I cannot
have over 1,000 contacts. How do I resolve this? How do I enlarge the
capacity?

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Jeff from Coulter Press asked:

Outlook has no such limitations. You posted to the wrong group. This
newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007 from
the Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try
posting in this newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com.microsoft,public.windoes.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

If this group isn't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

Along with what the others said, if you really do mean Outlook, are you
using the Outlook connector with a hotmail live acct? It's a limitation of
the server and you can't change it.

The limit is on Hotmail. You cannot have more that 1,000 contacts in
Hotmail's contacts.

Diane,

I am having te same issue with regards to Outlook 2007 not allowing me to
add more than 1,000 contacts. I am using Outlook Connector to sync a Hotmail
account with Outlook 2007. I subscribe to MSN Premium Services so that both
Calendar an Contacts from Windows Live syncs with Outlook 2007. Do I
understand you correctly to say that even with the MSN Premium subscription I
won't be able to get around the 1,000 contact limit?

The 1,000 address limit is an MSN limit, not an Outlook limit.

Dave:

I am having a problem importing my contacts from Outlook Express to Outlook
2007. It seems to stop part way through.

I have also found that Outlook 2007 has really slowed down since i tried to
import.

Is it the limitaton of the hotmail server?

Any solutions to get around this? or is there a way to manage the contacts
differently?
