why is the file not saving right??

i am recently new to movie maker and i am making a slideshow and it is very long but when i save it to either a CD or even my computer it only goes towards a certain point and then stops and shows the one slide for hte remainder of the time that the program acutally is? waht am i doing wrong do i have to click something to allow it to go longer someone help me!
