when viewing Power Point presentations sent to me, often part of the text is
'overlapped"....words are on top of one another. how do I fix that so I can
view it properly? I've tried respacing the text, and making the margins
narrower, and nothing helps! help!

It's probably that the presentation uses fonts that you don't have installed on
your PC.

Choose Format, Replace Fonts and look at the upper of the two list boxes.
That lists each font in the PPT file; the icon next to the font name tells you
whether the font is available or not. If it has a "?" icon, it means the font's
needed but not present.

Fixes:

- Find a copy of the font and install it, if you own the font
- Ask the PPT's creator to try embedding the font (may or may not be possible)
- Substitute a different font (in this same dialog box); choose one that "sets"
narrower than the one you're currently getting.

I suspect it was created with a font that is not on your system. Can you
check with whoever sent it to you?
