iI moved my Outlook Data File to the server so it will be backed up on a
regular basis. Outlook is now very sluggish and takes longer to send/receive
than if on local C: drive. Is there a way I can have the Outlook Data File
on the server and not sacrifice response time?

No. Access over the network may take 4 times longer or more and may even result in data corruption, according to Microsoft's KB article on this topic.

Microsoft does not support saving your Outlook data file (PST) on a networked
server. Outlook needs to have read/write access to the PST which doesn't
occur well from a networked drive. It can also contribute to corruption.

Sort of. Move it back to your C: drive and have a script or batch file that
copies your PST file from your C: drive to a directory on the server once a
day or once an evening.

But you don't want to host your active PST file on the server if you can
help it.
