Why is my Outlook Connector update failing to install?

This problem has to do with the Connector upgrade. When I load
outlook, I'm prompted to download this upgrade. When I accept, it continues
to download the new version, begin the installation process, but then tells
me that Outlook must reboot itself to finish the process. When I press 'ok'
for this latter prompt, Outlook fails to close, and therefore fails to
finish the upgrade process. I have gone through this routine about 20 times.
In an attempt to rectify the problem myself, I have installed all the most
recet Windows upgrades; but to no avail. I have also looked for a direct
link online for the upgrade so that I could download the .exe file and run
it myself. I have been unable to find such a file online. Can someone please
help?
