Why is my Address Book empty?

I just upgraded to Outlook XP and I am having a devil of a time with
Outlook. (I must admit I am a former Mac user, where such problems never
existed!)

My contacts are all there, but when I click on the address book it is empty.
Therefore, when I want to sent an email and click on the ³To² button, all I
get is an empty address book. Is there a way to export my contacts over to
the address book?

I won¹t even ask the question as to why there are contacts AND an address
book, when seemingly they provide the same function.

Thanks

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... oh, you were serious, sorry. (Can't tell you how many kernel panics I have had with my mac!)

Now, to the problem at hand. You may need to add the Outlook Address Book service to your profile. Tools->E-mail accounts->Directories->View. If the service is missing, go back one step and Add the service.

Also, try right clicking on your contacts folder and select properties. On the Address book tab, ensure that the folder has been enabled as an Outlook Address Book.
