I need help. My computer and/or my Internet provider is very slow when
trying to navigate around the web. My old computer which was about half the
size of my new one was faster, so I'm thinking perhaps there is something I
can do to this new computer to make it browse faster.

I currently running a Compaq, Intel Pend 4 200mhz, with 256 DDR ram, and 40
gig hard drive, and Wind XP. My ISP is MSN.

Has anyone any suggestions as to what I might do to my settings or whatever,
in order to bring up pages on the internet a little faster. Thanks in
advance for you help............

The speed of your computer has no bearing on the speed of your internet
browsing. This is determined by the type of connection you have with your
ISP... If you connect via a modem, then you won't get any faster than 56k,
but on DSL you should get at least 512k connection (depending on the
connection type). Contact your ISP if you want to surf faster...

BTW, I didn't know Intel made a 200mhz P4... :) I suspect you mean it's 2ghz
(2000mhz approx)
