I have had to uninstall and reinstall Office 2007. Ever since then, outlook
is almost continuously contacting the server. It does this so often that i
barely have time to delete messages or even read them.

I ran diagnostics and nothing was found.

It is running my limited download up to near 90% and I am getting notices
from my ISP on this.

How can I fix this?

Why? Uninstalling and re-installing is almosr NEVER the way to solve
problems.

What time interval is set in Send and Receive Settings?

Well, I completely had to wipe out my hard drive and reformat it, etc....
When I reloaded my backup, I had to reinstall the Office 2007 software and I
installed the Business Contact manager portion in which I didn't before. This
problem started after this. So I uninstalled the complete package of Office
and reinstalled it without the Contact Manager but the problem continues.

Theres still no reason to uninstall completely, you simply uninstall BCM.
In Outlook under Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive iether amend the
schedule send/receive to 10 mins or more, or untick in which case you will
have to manually send/receive when you need.

I have done the automatic update and have all that it gave me. As far as
"sync" errors, I don't know what those are but I have not receieved any pop
up messages stating I had any errors.

For the post before yours, it doesn't matter that I change how often it
sends/receives.... it still does it and it use to work without having to
manually do it.
