why does the bottom task manager (?) (shows name of
website screens in rectangles) only allow me 5 of those
rectangles and then collapses?? it never used to. Also,
now when i "open in new window", the new window is tiny
as hell....how do i make those newly opened windows
maximized every time?? Please help, it is greatly
appreciated........bonus question, on my old internet
explorer, it used to display the ip address of the link
on my task bar at bottom when i held the cursor over it,
does this exist in explorer for XP?

Taskbar at bottom of screen: Right-click in the taskbar
on an empty area. Select "properties." There will be a
box marked "Group similar taskbar buttons." Uncheck it,
click "OK," and that should fix it.

Small windows.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.
