Can't access the internet after cleaning the virus

Symptoms: 1. After you cleaned Worm Blast and downloaded ms patch, you are
unable to access the internet any more. 2. When test it, you may be able to
ping the public ip but not web site.

Resolutions: Check the status of winsock.dll, wsock32.dll or download
winsockfix to fix the problem

Hi M:

Hopefully Robert's suggestion fixed your problem,
however, if it did not, I encountered a similar problem
which I remedied by reinstalling my ISPs dialup software.
It overwrote whatever corrupted networking files I had.

I was also provided with these instructions which may
help..

1.) Open Internet Explorer
2.) Open Tools -> Internet Options
3.) From the General tab, click on the Settings button
4.) Click on View Objects
5.) From this window, locate the update class icon and
delete it.
6.) Click OK to save and restart IE.

thanx men for your great help .

I will test it and will give you the results

| thanks for the input.
