Why EWF RAM REG

Hi.
I would like to know what is the advantage of using RAM REG to RAM. I have
read the Help page but it does not tell be why I should use it against the
RAM mode.

EWF RAM during FBA creates EWF volume on a storage but EWF RAM Reg does
not.
So if you use a storage marked as removable you can't use RAM but can use
RAM Reg,

So are you saying that EWF RAM REG should ONLY be used for removable storage
and RAM for fixed disk.

Not, you can use RAM Reg on you own.

It uses for deploying EWF to media
where you can not create additional partition (EWF volume) for any reason.
Removable storage is a good example but not only possible way to use.

Sorry Stas but I still do not have the answer requested!
I have a fixed disk but must have a new clean O/S and application at a
re-boot. I am using EWF RAM so what is the advantage to use EWF RAM REG?

drive), would I want to use EWF RAM REG anyway? and why?

If there are not any additional requirements and conditions except you
writing below there is not any advantage to use RAM Reg in your case.

Why? Well because you can clone your image without facing problems with copy utilities that do not copy this partition "correctly".
If you want to use EWF on CD then it is also a good idea to use it in Reg RAM mode.

Only benefit of non reg configured EWF is that you have -disable option that allow you to do clean boot after restart and to discard
current image from memory. If that is what you need then you must use RAM EWF if not Reg RAM EWF is cleaner and easier solution.
