I have some picture CD's that I created using Windows 98 with Nero. I can put
these in my DVD player on my television, and view the pictures just fine. I
just bought a new PC with Windows XP, and when I try to view the same CD's, I
can't get a viewable file. What do I need to do?

Maybe the following links will offer some ideas:

I read your reply and looked at the support page and link to the UDF reader.
Do you know if it will be all right to download the adapted driver to WIN XP
for use with files that were made on WIN XP using Roxio Platinum Edition
DRAG & DROP. I have cdr's that were burned using ROXIO drag & drop and have
since changed to a new cd burner which came with Nero software. I
uninstalled the Roxio and now I can no longer view a cd that was burned with
the Roxio drag & drop. The Adaptec download didn't mention WIN XP at all.
Would downloading this Adaptec driver work for viewing those files now that
I no longer have Roxio and am using Nero Express?
Thanks in advance for any information,
Glenda

Sounds like you have a corrupt CD.
I don't think the Adaptec UDF Reader
Driver would solve your issue.

You may be able to recover the files
using a program like ISO Buster:

Thanks for your reply, I guess I will just burn them again with the Nero, I
didn't have enough confidence in the burning to take the original files off
the pc yet so I won't have to recover them, I can just toss the old cdr's
and burn them again for a back-up. I haven't had any problems with viewing
the files burned using Nero.
