Why don't my slides advance on slideshow?

I created a powerpoint slideshow presentation using music. Settings are all
in place but when I play it the music plays, but slide remains on one/ first
slide. Help.
 
It sounds like the slide show is waiting for the music to finish before it
advances to the next slide. Check here for how to adjust the settings to
allow the slide show to continue while the music plays.
Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

I'm having the same problem as lazydayzee. I can't follow the instructions
that you suggested (at http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00047.htm) because I have PP
2007 and things are different enough to be very confusing.

Can't you provide lazydayzee and me instruction for solving this problem in
PP 2007? I've spent hours trying to get this straightened out.

Have another look at the page. We've just added a link to Kathy Jacob's video
tutorial explaining how to do this. Give that a shot and see if it helps.
