Hi,

I have a query- if Outlook is not able to establish connection with the
Exchange server, then why does it not open in offline mode.

I should be able to see the local pst and downloaded mails atleast !

Starting a new thread when you have one allready been posted to re your
problems will cause no end of confusion

I thought this is slightly different- the other one is about trying to
access hotmail account though Outlook. Outlook starts but goes into offline
mode.
Now that I have deleted the hotmail account and configured another account,
Outlook is not starting at all unless and until it has established
connection to the Microsoft exchange server. Not even in Offline mode.

Somebody respond ! Pls !

As a work around, I again configured hotmail account (made it default) for
Outlook, thinking if it is not able to establish connection with Exchange
Server, then also it will start, now that there are 2 accounts. But still it
is not starting till it has established connection with Exchange Server.

One question, do I need to close Outlook on the other machine, before I open
it on this one? Just wondering, could that be one of the reasons?
