As the subject says, I turned on Cache and now the "unread mail" and "flagged" folders no longer work. Why???

Is the mailbox completely cached on your computer?

How do I determine that?

Bascically, it's a corporate account where 90% of the mail sits on the server and 10% is routed to local .pst files via rules wizard (until I run Auto Archive). All I did was go to advanced options and turn on "cache email" because the connection to the server was consantly breaking and getting REALLY annoying having to wait 30 seconds to a minute to read a message (problem started with Office 2003; never occurred with previous Office editions). The cache fixed the problem, but now my favorite feature of Office 2003 (the "Unread" and "For Follow up folders") no longer work (they're greyed out and italicized).

Never mind. I have no idea why they were greyed out and italicized, but just for shits and grins I clicked the folder names and they re-enabled and now they're working.

They aren't live if they haven't been used - and if you don't use them for a
few weeks, they'll be in the unused state again.
