*shrug* That directory sounds like one you created. If there is anything
special about it - you may have done it yourself.
Did you redirect your "My Documents" there and that is how that got created?
Or do you actually mean "C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\My
Documents\My Music\" when you say "C:\Docs\My Music"?
C:\Docs is the replacement for C:\Documents and Settings\<my
username>\My Documents. Made following all the rules nearly a year
ago. All other sub-folders of C:\Docs open OK from Run, including very
large ones such as My Pictures (51 GB), My Videos (43 GB). My Music
(14 GB) is the only exception. I haven't counted the number of files -
could that bizarrely impose some sort of limit?
If you use Windows Explorer (My Computer) to go to that folder and then copy
the path from the "address" bar and paste it into the RUN command area -
what happens?
Nothing, but as the paste is simply the same as before, 'C:\Docs\My
Music', it obviously wouldn't!
Interestingly, if I use the localised '8.3' version of the path
file://C:/Docs/MYMUSI~1
that opens OK from Run. But 'C:/Docs/MYMUSI~1' gives the same nil
result as 'C:\Docs\My Music'. Very strange...
