No, that's not what I mean. The message stops after 3 lines and there is an
instruction to "click here" to see the rest of the message. It's as if the
Reading Pane has AutoPreview. However, AutoPreview is not an option for the
Reading Pane.

For what version of Outlook and what email account type?
Check your download settings to download the full message during
send/receive;
Tools-> Options-> tab mail Setup-> button Send/Receive...-> Edit...-> select
your account and in the right bottom select to Download complete item
including attachments

It's Outlook 2003 with an Exchange Server. The problem occurred on my boss'
laptop. I tried everything I could think of and searched through Help and
Knowledge Base to no avail. After posting, I went back into his office and
the issue had simply stopped happening. I've printed your instructions and
will follow that procedure next time to see if it will help. Thanks for
providing some direction. I may have to post a question again, who knows!

I am having the same issue and my IT's solution was just to create a new
profile for me. That worked, but I would still like to know what caused this
and why it was happening. I tried your direction, Roady, and found that my
"Download complete item including attachments" was already checked and yet
I'm still having to download the rest of the message. Any other suggestions?

Nevermind...I fixed the issue by reading another post. I configured my email
to download headers and full items by checking the bottom right pop up menu.
