If wish windows was smart enough to find and set up the windows mail
automatically. Here is my problem, keeping in mind I never could get outlook
express to work either,,,,, I have a verizon dsl connection, I use IE7 for
browsing, and I use yahoo mail. How in the heck do I set up the new windows
mail? can anyone explain this in a simple step to step procedure. I'd like to
be able to email website links or pages to people, but can't even get the
mail setup.

I wish more users were smart enough to read instructions.

Verizon will have supplied you with documentation and/or
documentation including email setup is on their website.
If not... sack them for gross moral turpitude.

Vista comes with copious built-in help facilities for setting up email.

Yahoo has a comprehensive web site for customer support including
email set up for dummies..

It couldn't be simpler but one can lead a horse to water etc.

No offense, but this is equivalent to saying, "I wish my car was smart enough
to find its own steering wheel and brake and gas pedals, so I wouldn't have
to drive it manually." We're not quite there yet.

You pay your ISP good money, make them earn it. Their tech support should
be willing to walk you through it.

It's not complicated. I have verizon dsl as well and it took me all of 5
miniutes to set up Windows Mail. Yahoo mail won't work with Windows Mail
unless you have the paid yahoo mail service. Verizon works just fine with it
however. Follow the directions given on the Verizon support pages. It's
incredibly simple.
