Why does PowerPoint switch fonts from Arial to Tahoma randomly?

I used multiple design templates for my presentation because I liked the
colors. I changed the fonts and spacing on some of them. When I save the
file and re-open it, some (not all) of the fonts change from Arial back to
Tahoma and become left-justified instead of centered. How can I fix this?

Just to venture a guess, are the textboxes that are changing all
placeholders, or are they ones you have inserted?
