Why does Powerpoint not have the strikethrough feature????

I work on Briefings that contain dates and information that requires true
strikethroughs. I use the draw feature to create the line, but because the
line is not part of the text, the printout gets the lines in the wrong
places, depending on which printer or server the print job is done.

You will be happy to know that we now have strikethroughs (and double
underlines and small caps) in PPT 2007, currently in beta.

With a bit of tweaking you could change this:

Double-Underline text

into something that does strikethrough.
