Why does powerpoint keep on refreshing a slide

I have a slide with a a gouple if images and graphics on it. Each time
I open up a presso with the slide in it to edit, powerpoint keeps on
refreshing the slide. It is not a build slide.

I've seen this happen before.

Either 'update your graphics card driver'

or turn down hardware acceleration.
