Why does Outlook access old email addresses instead of new?

I use Outlook as my email program, but it is inconsistent in accessing email
addresses when I send emails. Even when I think I've selected an updated
address, Outlook frequently sends the email to an old address or an old
distribution list with the same title. I'm on a Microsot network. Any ideas?

Outlook does not "access" email addresses all by itself. It does so in the
fashion you specify in the way you enter the address and send the message
and in the way you have configured your addressing services. You would need
to provide that information for anyone to help you. We can't guess that from
what little you posed. We can't guess your Outlook version either.

Thanks, in the meanwhile, I read all the other posts and solved my problem.
I named my Contact List with a discreet name, went to Address Book and told
it to use my named Contact List, and it works fine now.
