Why does my home page have two urls?

This is normal - there are usually two links to the home page in any
website similar to those you have shown.

To standardise the links to http://www.englishgrammartutor.com/ you must
manually change all links to your home page to the absolute link
http://www.englishgrammartutor.com/ , or change them to the root relative
link ( / )
example <a href="/">Home</a>, or to a relative link ( ./ or ../ or
..../../ ) depending on how deep in the folder structure the page being
linked from is.
Note that neither of the first 2 methods will work as expected when testing
on your local web, and FP will consider these links as links to an external
website. In my opinion it is not worth the effort.

Your only have 1 home page: index.htm
- but for any folder in your site (including the web site root) if you have a file by that name it will open if you do not enter as
specific page in the URL
So any request for http://www.englishgrammartutor.com/ opens index.htm

| My home page has two URLs:
| http://www.englishgrammartutor.com/.
|
| I am working in FrontPage 2003, and I named my home page index.htm (as I
| believe one must).
|
| When I go to my site from a keyword search, I am taken to
| http://www.englishgrammartutor.com/. Then, when I return to my home page from
| an internal link on my site, I get to
| http://www.englishgrammartutor.com/index.htm.
|
| How can I standardise my home page url?
|

Thank you for your very helpful answer, Ronx. I'm worried, though, that my
search engine rankings will suffer unless I standardise the links.
