My browser closes when I go to a page and it is loading slowly, this gets very aggravating! I have Windows XP Home Ed. Is there someone that can help me? You may e-mail me directly or through here. (e-mail address removed)
I have ran spybot and avg and tho I am not computer smart, I can follow instructions if someone will spell them out step by step, Please Help Me!
Thank You
SimplyRose
P.S. I checked my error log in help and support and all it says is this: Monday, January 26, 2004 Perflib The timeout waiting for the performance data collection function "PerfOS" in the "C:\WINDOWS\System32\perfos.dl l" Library to finish has expired. There may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service it is collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this call was attempted.

I am sorry if I offended anyone, my intentions were not one of being catered to at all. I just needed help and if anyone wanted to email me directly to work back and forth on the problem to make it easier, then I provide my e-mail for that purpose. I am a sweet person and am friendly to all, I was really hurt by what you said to me. I am a mother of 2 and am just trying to fix my PC. I am truly sorry if I offended anyone
God Bless

Pay no attention to Jack. He's an a**hole who thinks he's the net nanny. He doesn't contribute anything except to belittle people

Thank You Soooooo Much Nanny!
I felt so much better after reading your response. I'm glad you knew of him and let me know, I never imagined I was doing such a bad thing. I am checking back here often for anybody that may be of help. I must say, if I can't fix it, that people are looking & trying to help. There are genuinly kind people here. Thanks nanny!!!!

Thanks Jack! I didn't know how to take it I guess. I feel a lot better now. I'm glad you were joking!

P.S. It takes forever to reply on here.....lol......this will probably take 30 minutes or so to go through

Hi Rose,

What you have to do depends on whether there is malware affecting your
system or not. For malware:

Download the utility CWshredder:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

Unzip - close *all* instances of IE & OE, hit the executable and
follow
the prompts.

You can also download Hijack This from here:

http://www.mjc1.com/files/merijn/hijackthis.exe

Go here:
http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

For instructions on how to use it; you have to post the log it
produces so experts tell you what is good and what is malware

Try downloading, installing and updating the
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.

Ad-aware

Spybot S&D
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download

If these don't correct the problem, then get yourself a copy of
BHODemon, available at
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm .

It does not need installing - simply unzip and run the EXE program. It
is easy to use. It will find the hijackware DLL files, and give you
the ability to disable them.

If these do not correct the problem, post back and we'll take it from
there.

Good luck, hope this helps.
