I've 2 PC connected via a crossover cable. The xp pc is
connected to internet by a usb dsl modem. The 98se
connects through this. I've run the setup wizard and
created a disc which i've run on the 98 pc. It works
perfectly after setup/restart everything works.
If i then turn off the 98 pc or restart it, it doesn't
work.
These are the things i know it isn't
*Firewalls
*Hardware
*Passwords/logon
My 98 Pc has an ip of 192.168.0.145 even when network
isn't working (file/internet sharing) it also knows that
my xp is set to 192.168.0.1 (even if i change this to
192.168.0.2 the winipcfg on 98 keeps up and renews the
info)
HELP! This is driving me mad i've got to run the disc
