How much RAM do you have? You will probably need to increase to at least
1GB. Or try closing down anything you may have running in the background
that is eating up resources.
The 2.79 is the speed of your Central Processing Unit (CPU) and 496 is the
amount of Random Access Memory (RAM) you have installed. If you are running
Windows XP, then you really do need to increase the amount of RAM you have
installed. Windows XP recommends a minimum of 512MB of RAM to run
efficiently. Do you have a lot of icons sitting down in the area where your
clock is? If you do, those are running programs and are using up that 496MB
of RAM and could be why you have problems opening and working with Window
Movie Maker.
