Why does a barcode mess up my form page length in Access

I have a 2 page form that prints out perfectly. When I add a barcode field
to a blank spot on the form, I now get blank pages printing out, even though
the field does not affect the size of the pages whatsoever.
Any ideas?

Check to make sure that the control you're using for the barcode
doesn't extend outside the page size (less margins), even by a
hairsbreadth: if it does, you'll get this phenomenon. Resize or move
the barcode so that it's totally within the page.

Thanks John, but it is totally within the margins, it's in the middle of the
page in a blank area that has nothing else in it. If I delete the bar code
field, it prints the way it's supposed to, if I put the bar code back, it
prints blank pages. I'm pulling my hair out!!

Bizarre!

What type of control are you using to print the barcode (a textbox
with a barcode font would be typical)? Do you have any code on the
form related to the barcode?

Hi John,
It is bizarre. I'm using a control source (serial number) from a query.
Then I'm formatting with a barcode font. I apologize, but I don't know about
any code. The weird part is, if I format the control source with the barcode
font but don't use asterisks before and after, the pages are formatted
correctly. But, of course my barcode scanner won't read the field. If I
format correctly using the asterisks, I can scan, but the printing is all
screwed up. Go figure. I'm plugging away, but no luck so far.
