Why do voting receipts take so long to appear on the Tracking Tab?

I've noticed that I receive a response in my inbox, sometimes hours before
that information is actually updated on the tracking tab of the sent item.
Is there a way to speed up the time between the receipt of the vote and
having that information included on the tracking tab?
 
Do you openthe email immediately? The tracking tab does not register the
vote response until the incoming email is opened.
 
No, but these are simply reponses about who will not or will attend a meeting
and where. There is no text in the email, just the subject line. However, I
will give this a try to see if this works. Thank you for the suggestion.
 
Opening the item, certainly works - thank you for the suggestion.

That being said, in the past I have not been opening the responses to have
the information included on the tracking tab (though as I indicated, the
responses are not posted as efficiently).
