Why do lines/objects move when I just click on them to select?

I just started using PowerPoint 2003 - when I try to select a line or object,
the item will jump on the screen to a new position, even when I am not
dragging anything - I simply want to select the option. I just got a new
computer and am not that familiar with the 2003 suite, so I am not sure what
is causing this problem.

Try this, Click View, Grids and Guides. Uncheck "Snap objects to grid"
and/or "Snap objects to other objects" and then click OK. Does this solve
your issue?

Let us know.
